RUNNING AWAY TO NEVERLAND
Where to go in London if you want to escape to a beach & escape growing up.
It's said that while growing old is inevitable, growing up is optional.
If there was ever a mantra that my fiancé lived by, that would have to be it. And as of Wednesday this week, he’s going to be one big kid stuck in a 30-year-old’s body.
So to distract him the fact that he's entering his third decade, we spent last weekend celebrating at a place that was only too appropriate - Neverland: the place, according to Peter Pan, where boys never grow up.
The pop-up hot spot, positioned aptly on the water's edge of the Thames, also happens to be London’s closest thing to a beach - perfect for the Kiwi birthday boy.
If you’re looking for a spot in London to enjoy some sun on your face*, sand between your toes, and to cool down over a refreshing cocktail, it's worth popping down.
*Sun not guaranteed. This is London after all.
