SUMMER EDIT / TIGHT & WHITE

I've got a thing for white this summer. White sand beaches, white swimsuits (and sadly at the moment, a skin tone that's not too far off).

But in particular, I've formed a soft spot for white one-pieces. There's just something about the way they add a touch of elegance to your beach attire and do a damn good job at showing off that well-earned (or well-applied?) tan that makes them my must-have swimwear this season.

I've been living in my white Topshop one-piece whenever I've had the chance to escape to blue skies and blue waters - and I figure the more I add to my collection, the more excuses to head beach bound, right?

Check out the eight white one-pieces I'm lusting over this summer:

(P.S. Sorry to all South Hemisphereans currently rugged up while reading this - inspiration for a cheeky little mid-winter getaway?)

Bow Swimsuit £150

After finding my fave one-piece (above) at Topshop, I always keep an eye on their swimwear range - and this beauty last caught my attention. It has all the slim and sculpting elegance of a one-piece but teamed with the allure of a bare mid-drift and exaggerated bow detail over the bust - perfect for us ladies who have a little less going on up top.

Entwined Lace-up Swimsuit £265

The fashion world has fallen hard for the lace-up trend this season and swimwear is no exception. There's no denying that this Karla Colletto design is a pricey number but with its daring lace-up plunge front, the cost-per-stare on the beach this summer will make it worth every cent.

bec + Bridge

Songbird One piece AUD $100*

When I'm not in a bikini this summer, I'm sunning my shoulders in off-the-shoulder tops. This Bec + Bridge piece is the best of both worlds - a striking swimsuit for a day on the beach turned perfect leotard, paired with jeans or palazzo pants, for an evening at the bar.

SOLID & STRIPED

The Claudia Swimsuit £145

I've always loved the classiness of a one-shoulder style. But with Solid & Striped placing this cutout perfectly and flatteringly around your waist, this show of skin is a subtle way to add a little sexy.

Marysia Antibes One Piece Swimsuit.jpg

Marysia

Antibes One Piece £380

Ever since I was introduced to Marysia Swim by Muse (a gorgeous boutique in Auckland) I've had a big crush on Marysia Dobrzanska Reeves' swimwear. This off-white beauty is based on her best-selling Antibes bikini - complete with Marysia's premium fabrics, bandeau top and signature scalloped edges - but adds just that perfect amount of coverage.

Obsessed. Still.

zimmermann

Stretch Mesh Paneled Swimsuit US$175*

This was an obvious inclusion as my other go-to piece this season is a Zimmermann bikini and it's made me fall in love with the label's swimwear. This plunge one-piece is the perfect design to sculpt a gal's silhouette: darted cups, high-rise briefs, and a sheer stretch-mesh panel that gives the illusion of a bikini and draws in the waist.

Josephine Off-the-shoulder Pleated Swimsuit £275

Another gorgeous off-the-shoulder piece that elegantly flatters those sun-kissed shoulders. Perfect in pleats, or for a piece complete with ruffles and a cheaper price tag, have a look at this Trina Turk number (£104).

La revêche

Assuan White Swimsuit €195

After seeing this stunning swimsuit on the equally stunning @debiflue, you can't curate the hottest white swimsuits and not include this one. If only it came with her body.

Made with fabrics from Italy and handmade in Sardinia,  this La Revêche beauty instantly transports you to a Mediterranean paradise.

ONE LAST MUST HAVE

If a white swimsuit is an essential on your summer list but you're not going to be horizontal on a sun lounger all season, then a good bottle of fake sunshine should be on your essentials list too.

MY FAVE: Bondi Sands Self-Tanning Foam - It's Australia's #1 self-tanning brand and my absolute fave. It leaves you with a natural sun-kissed colour and not with that nasty fake tan smell.

Happy sunning,
